Block Garden: Zen Puzzle (Android package / iOS bundle com.zenleafgames.blockgarden)
Developer: Zen Leaf Games · Effective date: 29 September 2026 · Applies to the Google Play (Android) and App Store (iOS) versions
Summary
You can play Block Garden as a guest or sign in with your platform game account — Google Play Games
on Android, Game Center on iOS. Signing in is optional on both platforms. As a guest, your game progress
is stored only on your device. If you sign in, we use your Google Play Games or Game Center account to
keep your scores, leaderboard ranking and game progress tied to you across devices.
In both cases we collect a limited amount of data to run the game, its leaderboards, analytics and
ads, as described below.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not collect your e-mail address, contacts, photos,
or precise location.
Data we collect
- Account and sign-in (via Unity Gaming Services and, if you sign in, Google Play Games
Services on Android or Game Center on iOS): a game-specific player ID that Unity Gaming
Services (Unity Technologies) creates for every player — anonymous if you play as a guest — and a
session token stored on your device. If you sign in with Google Play Games, also your Play Games
player ID and display name. If you sign in with Game Center, also the developer-scoped (team) Game Center
player ID and display name that Apple provides (we never receive your Apple ID or e-mail).
Used to sign you in, keep your progress (Unity Cloud Save) and show your profile.
- Guest play: if you continue as a guest, no Google Play Games or Game Center data
is collected. Your game progress (leaves, stickers, badges, statistics) is stored only on your
device, is not backed up to the cloud, and is lost if you uninstall the app or change device. Your
scores and gardener name are still sent to the leaderboards under an anonymous player ID. You can
sign in with Google Play Games / Game Center later from Settings → Account; your progress is then
stored with your Unity Gaming Services player and carried across devices.
- Gardener name: the nickname you choose in the game. It is shown publicly
to other players on the leaderboards next to your scores.
- Scores and leaderboards (via Unity Gaming Services Leaderboards): your
game scores, weekly/monthly/all-time rankings and archived past rankings, together with the
run statistics (pieces placed, lines cleared, duration) used to validate scores on our servers
(Unity Cloud Code).
- Analytics data (via Firebase Analytics): app interactions such as
sessions, level results and purchases, device model, OS version, country (coarse,
IP-based), and a resettable app instance identifier. Used to understand and improve
the game.
- Advertising data (via Unity LevelPlay and its ad network partners,
including Unity Ads, Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network): advertising identifier
(Android: AAID; iOS: IDFA, only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt),
IP address, device information and ad interaction events. Used to serve and measure ads,
and — only with your consent where required — to personalize them. If you deny tracking on iOS,
the IDFA is not shared and you receive non-personalized ads.
- Crash data (via Firebase Crashlytics): crash logs and device state,
used to fix stability problems.
- Purchases: in-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play (Android) or
the App Store (Apple, iOS). We receive only an anonymized purchase confirmation / receipt — never
your payment or card details.
- Random sticker packs: packs contain random stickers. The drop rate of each rarity
is shown in the game (Album → Drop rates, and on the Starter Pack in the Shop) before you
open or buy a pack.
Consent and your choices
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app shows a consent form from
Google's User Messaging Platform (a Google-certified consent management platform that implements the
IAB Transparency & Consent Framework v2.2) before any ads are requested. You can consent, decline
("Do not consent") or choose per purpose and per partner ("Manage options"). If you decline, you receive
non-personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy options.
- In every region, you can turn off personalized ads in Settings → Personalized ads; our ad partners
are then told not to personalize ads and not to sell or share your data for advertising.
- On iOS, the app asks for permission with the App Tracking Transparency prompt before using the
advertising identifier; you can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security →
Tracking. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in device settings
(Settings → Google → Ads).
- You can remove all ads permanently via the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase.
- Signing in with Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iOS) is optional: you can play as a
guest and sign in later from Settings → Account. You can also sign out of your account at any time
from Settings → Account. Local progress stays on the device until you delete your account/data or
uninstall the app.
Data sharing
Account, leaderboard, analytics, crash and advertising data are processed by our service
providers — Google (Play Games Services, Firebase), Apple (Game Center, App Store), Unity Technologies
(Unity Gaming Services: Authentication, Leaderboards, Cloud Code, Cloud Save; Unity LevelPlay and Unity
Ads) and the ad networks listed above — under their own privacy policies. The same providers are used
on Android and iOS. Data is transferred over encrypted connections (TLS). We share data
with no other third parties, except where the law requires it.
Data retention and deletion
Account and leaderboard data are kept while your account exists. Analytics data is retained for
up to 14 months.
Deleting your account (signed in with Google Play Games or Game Center): in the
game open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm. This immediately deletes your Unity
Gaming Services player, your cloud-saved progress, your leaderboard entries and the game progress on the
device, and unlinks your Google Play Games / Game Center account (the account itself, managed by Google
or Apple, is not affected). Alternatively, follow the steps on our
account deletion page to request deletion by e-mail; we complete
such requests within 30 days.
Guest players: as a guest you can delete your data in the game from Settings →
Account → Delete my data and confirm. This deletes your anonymous Unity Gaming Services player,
your gardener name and leaderboard entries on our servers, and the progress stored on the device. If the
app is no longer installed, you can request deletion by e-mail to
zenleafgames@gmail.com
with the subject "Block Garden account deletion" and your gardener name; see the
account deletion page.
Purchase records are held by Google Play or the App Store under their own terms; anonymized analytics
that cannot be linked to you may be retained for the period above.
Children
Block Garden is not directed at children under 13. The app declares a target audience of
13+ on Google Play and the corresponding age rating on the App Store; it does not knowingly collect
personal data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the game evolves; the current version is always available at
this address, with the effective date above.
